Raquel & Jeff

Man, I am exhausted! After the PHC event, I came home and got ready to photograph Raquel and Jeff's portrait. Raquel is due any day now and I wanted to hurry and take her pictures before she delivers. I've know Raquel and Jeff for a long time and they are good friends of the family. I am glad Raquel asked me to take their pictures because I enjoy hanging out with them. The cutest thing about Raquel is that she has a habit of saying "Cheese" every time I pointed the camera at her. I couldn't stop laughing every time she said it. We went to a park near our house and then we came back to the house and did some studio intimate shots. Here are some of my favorites.

Project Homeless Connect

On Thursday the City of San Jose, Housing Department put together an event call Project Homeless Connect. This event was put together to provide services to the homeless and those that are close to being homeless. There were dozens of different agencies that provided services to the homeless. For example, Housing Partnership, Tzu Chi Foundation, Work to the Future, City Team, Victory Outreach, Cosmetology school from Gavalian College, IBM, CISCO and there is more but I can't remember them all. I am honored that the Housing Department asked me to be the official photographer to capture the event and to tell a story of the day. I am happy that I can capture the faces of homelessness and to share the story with everyone. What a great event! I am very fortunate to be on the front line and to get the opportunity to hear heart touching stories. It really brings you back to reality and I realized how blessed I am to have a home,a bed to sleep and food to eat. Sometimes it just takes an event like this to kick you on the butt and make you thankful for what you have.

Trash the Dress

I was excited for the trash it session, that I couldn't sleep the night before. I was also really excited to see all of my photographer friends from OSP. The Day before I was rushing around to find a dress that fit Stephanie. I finally found a dress at David's bridal and when she came over Saturday morning to get ready. She tried it on first and come to find out, it did not fit. So we made it work. We did a little surgery and pin some stuff together. We both drove to downtown San Jose and we all met in front of Original Joe's
We had such a great time just photographing Stephanie. She is such an attractive person you can't get a bad angle of her. We walked around downtown and just stop when we saw something cool. Living in San Jose all my ife, I didn't realize that we had all kinds of cool places to photograph. After the session we had lunch at
Original Joe's and Stephanie hung around and watched us photography Jason and Kristi. I gave Stephanie the camera so she can try photographing Jason and Kristi and see if she likes photography. What a great day we had and I just love hang out with all of my Osp friend. What a wonderful bunch of people. Here are a few of my favorites of...

Kristi and Jason met us at Original Joe's and from there we headed to the Sainte Claire Hotel . The inside of the hotel is so beautiful. We kinda snuck in there, hoping that we would not get kicked out of the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and they enjoyed watching us photograph Jason and Kristi. Every where we went people were congratulating Jason and Kristi and we just laugh because we knew that they were already married. They were so excited to have their pictures taken and they were loving the camera. Thank you Kristi and Jason for letting us photograph you!

Happy Mother's Day

Sunday morning I woke with Ryan asking me if I want McDonalds for breakfast, but to my surprise my wonderful son came in with a bowl of cereal and juice in his hands. I was so surprised and it really made my day. I am really blessed to have such a great family and I would never trade this in for anything. Later in the afternoon we headed over to a friend's house and hung out there with all of the other moms. It was such a nice day to spend at Discovery Bay. I wanted to give a BIG shout to all of the moms out there. HAPPY MOTHER'S Day!!!!

The Handyside Family

On Sunday , I had the pleasure of photographing the Handyside family. I showed up at their front porch and I fell in love with the layout of their house. They have a beautiful backyard with lots of greenery and an oasis pool, perfect for the hot weather. I had the opportunity to meet the family the first time and they were so friendly. I had a chance to talk with Oliver, and learned his fascination with spiders. After the portrait session, we headed to St Mary Church in Los Gatos, where Sasha was baptized. I had the opportunity to witness the baptism and experience how different the ceremony was from the Christian Church. Thank you Flor, Graham, Oliver & Sasha for letting me be a part of this.

Here are a couple of my favorites...
